We went to a party where they had Santa and he was 1 for 2 with the boys. Jake wouldn't go near him and Marshall played it cool at first, but began to fuss just a little towards the end of the 10 flashes in his face! I got two pictures, but was on the side...they had a professional photographer to catch a good shot, which will be sent to us, thank goodness.
When I looked up after the Santa experience, Jake was already outside playing football with the big kids.
Marshall hung out and watched big brother...I can see in his eyes how bad he wants to be big:(
Marshall has discovered cookies. And much like other food, he is a fan. I forgot to put them back in the cabinet one night and he woke up and saw them on the counter. HUGE meltdown as he waddled toward them saying"iiiiieeeeessss!" (He's beginning to take the last syllable of each word and say it...brilliant, if you ask me:) So, being the strict mother that I am, I only let him have one instead of two. It was hard. He was happy and I got a cute picture...we both won.
Another Santa story...a friend of mine sent me the cutest thing over email where you plug in all sorts of personal info about your child and Santa sends them a personal message. The whole time Jake watches it he keeps saying "Did you hear that, Mama, he knows I'm 3!" I selected for Santa to tell him to look out for his little brother and he has really taken it to heart! This morning while I was vacuuming I had to use the hose to get into Marshall's playpen while he was in there (sounds just awful, but it wasn't!) and Jake walked in and was horrified! He said "DON'T VACUUM MY BROTHER!" I had to chuckle. It is amazing how real the video looks (since his mouth is covered by a clever beard). Here's the link to Jake's personal video...we'll see if it works...http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/watch/7DCy9qiPD74_aGwxhnsDcQ
