Halloween Dress Rehearsal- Little Devil (the Don King wig didn't fit)
We'll start with Marshall (a.k.a. Monkey, Chunky Monkey)...He's 11 months now, weighs 26.5 pounds (down a pound from an ear infection last week and not eating well for a few weeks), and wears a size 2T in clothes! What a nice way to begin my morning walking into his room and seeing him with his huge smile (and 2 bottom teeth and 1 top left tooth:) He points at the light and says "ight" and puts his fat little hand over his mouth and blows me an open mouth kiss (or sometimes he omits the hand all together and just kisses the air with his eyes closed waiting for my face to meet his lips)! Melts my heart!
Other words he says:
Mama, Daddeeee, arfff (for dog), no (and shakes his head and points his little finger sometimes), dis (when he points to something meaning "this"), eese (for cheese when he eats a grilled cheese), ice (loves to chew on Sonic ice), mmmm (for yum), owside (for outside), his first word was "ake"(for Jake, but he hasn't said that for a few months now...I think he thinks Jake's name is "No" because that's what Jake always tells him!
After looking at that list he says a lot! He is now refusing that I feed him...he wants to feed himself and throws the biggest fit if I try! He's very strong- willed and not the laid-back baby we all thought he would be (only because Jake is SO NOT laid back and we were thinking maybe we could catch a break!) So Tom now has me, Jake and Marshall to handle. He loves his bottle and thankfully also loves cold whole milk since he'll be starting a cup of that once a day soon. Gaga got him to try it when the boys stayed with her and Grandy recently at the lake house (old one- new one ready in November) when I was having my nose surgery in Dallas. This blog is not about me, so I won't go too deep into that, but Jake broke my nose last November and I got it fixed by Dr. Rohrich in Dallas. Gaga and Grandy took SUCH GOOD care of the boys for 2 weeks and I am so thankful for that! Tom took such good care of me, too...oh yeah, did I mention the boys have a father? Ha! This blog is not to teach, show or tell the world about us...it's for me (and the boys if they chose) to look at later and smile about. I don't need to add too many details and background info. If you are reading this blog, you know us!
He started to crawl at 8.5 months and is so good at it that I'm not sure when he'll ever want to walk! He's super fast and its the only way he gets to and away from Jake! We bought his first pair of shoes on Monday...size 5.5 Wide Navy Keds. SO PRECIOUS on his chunky foot!
He's not in a MDO program this year, just goes to CBS with Jake and I and goes into his little nursery class, which from what I can tell, he loves, but is always so happy to see me, which is another high of my day!
Marshall is the sweetest, prettiest (I know, sorry, most handsome) baby ever. Everyday I'm amazed at how much more I fall in love with him and he is living proof that a mother can, in fact, have a fierce love for two children in the same heart.

Halloween Dress Rehearsal- Boxer Jake
Now on to Jake (a.k.a. The Bud, Jakers)...he is now 3.5 years old, 37 pounds and has the most beautiful curly head of blonde hair you've ever seen. My, oh my, does he has my number! He sure does know how to push the envelope, but is so darn sweet and charming that it's so so so hard to get mad at him! He goes to Hillander for K-3 and his teacher is Mrs. Hullender. We love her!
As of today, here are a list of things he is in to: anything scary (ghost mainly), Buzz Light Year, Thomas the Train, Scooby Doo movies and tv show, going to the park with Daddy, pushing his truck (still will not ride anything), frosted sugar cookies, milk milk and more milk, pancakes "I can dip" in syrup, "Are you happy?" (he loves to please us!), "How was the office today, Daddy?" (he asks Tom every single day when he gets home from the office), "No, Marshall! Marshall's doing something!" (he's quite the cop), loves his bath then having Daddy tell him a story about the castle and the dragon when Buzz saves the day!
He loves going to Gaga and Grandy's lake house and always thinks "its a great day for a boat ride"! He gets rather spoiled there, but that's what he there for, right?! He is crazy about his Aunt Linds...she took him on a date a couple of weeks ago in Austin. They went out to dinner then he got to stay overnight in her apartment! The next day they went to the Farmer's Market and to the park and out to lunch then to buy toys! What a day! Watch out, Lulu, someone's got their eye on Linds! He goes over to Gigi and G-Man's house on some Saturday mornings to have donuts and to play with his cousin, Jackson. They are wild and crazy together and have a blast!
He is getting so big and turning into a boy, instead of a chubby cheek baby, way too fast! I enjoy our talks so much and how excited he is to see me every time I leave and come back ("Momma, your BACK!") Even if its only for 30 minutes, I am greeted by an excited, beautiful little boy!
So...that's where we are today! I chose to not spend a lot of time catching up too much...I could go on forever! This blog will just document the boys from this day forward. And here we go!
